Every year ends with a flurry of goals and a resolution or two that fades by February. This year, try something different. Spend ninety minutes looking back at the year with honesty, thinking ahead with a little wonder, and landing on one word to guide your business and your days for the next twelve months.

Finding Your Word of the Year is a live working session, not a lecture.

You'll leave with a word, a few goals, and a plan to carry both into the next year.

Hi, I’m Kelly!

Hi, I'm Kelly. Vice President here at Unforgettable University, and the founder of Night Owl Notions, my branding and web design studio.

I've picked a word of the year instead of a resolution since 2017. My first word never stuck. Ask me what it was and I'll just stare at you. Then in 2018 I found Light, and something in me settled. I tied it to real goals and a symbol I kept somewhere I'd see it every day, and for the first time, the year had a shape instead of a list of things I hadn't done yet.

I've kept a word close every year since, and every one of them has changed something in me.

In this workshop, you walk in with a blank year ahead. You walk out with a word, a plan behind it, and something to anchor it.

Rise carried me through 2026. It's your turn to find what carries you through 2027.

Hi, I’m Rebekah!

I will be honest, New Years resolutions never stuck with me… but my word of the year made it easier. I just had to think of the word and my mind would start to align back on track to where I needed to be. I wrote it on sticky notes, in my business journal and even added it as my computer wallpaper.

In 2025, my word was Support. I began Unforgettable Crafts that year and, you know how imposter syndrome can make you feel… I needed to support myself and have faith in my abilities. I’m so glad I did; that first sale felt incredible!

My 2026 WOTY is Focus and boy have I ever had to focus! I created many new products for UC including a full beard kit, room sprays , and many other home and body care products. Then, I had this passion deep in my soul that wouldn’t let go, so I began focusing on this university to aid other entrepreneurs just like myself in finding a community, education, and their own pathway forward.

I can’t wait to see what word comes to you and makes your world feel “right” in preparation for your 2027 journey.
